1) Welcome aboard.
2) Look down, just don't KEEP looking down. As you get more comfortable (and less "wobbly"), you'll find it easier to glance around and enjoy the scenery (and do stuff like monitor your speed!) mixed in between your MSF-taught "aggresive scanning."
3) If you're worried about accidentaly leaving your turn signals on from time to time (which we could probably all confess to...), you can either: a) try to find that remote mount that you asked about; b) read back through this forum- I seem to recall someone hooking up a beeper to their signals to remind them that the thing is on; or c) train your boyfriend to say "Hey, Marilyn, your turn signal is on!" (that's why we ride with partners!)
